We are a family of believers who are pledged to know Jesus Christ, the Rock, and to make him known.

Developing our relationship with Jesus, learning to follow him, obey him and become more like him.

Living as part of the family of God, meeting together, loving and caring for each other and encouraging each other in our shared mission.

Taking any and all opportunities share the good news of the gospel with those who are lost, making them disciples and teaching them to do the same in kind.

What We Believe

The Old and New Testaments are the divinely inspired words of God – 2 Tim. 3:16

There is one true God, a triune God revealed as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. – Mat. 28:19

Jesus Christ is true God and true man. – John 10:30

All have sinned and short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation.

Salvation is only made possible through the shed blood of Jesus Christ – Ro. 3:23, Ro. 6:23, Ro 10:9

Entry into the Kingdom of God is only made possible through

the born again experience. – John 3:19, 1 Pet. 1:23

In the financial system of tithes and offerings established by God under the Old Covenant

and reaffirmed by Christ in the New Covenant – Mal. 3:10, Mat. 5:17, Mat. 23:23

Water baptism by immersion after conversion is a direct commandment

of our Lord Jesus Christ – Mat. 28:19, Acts 8:36-39

God’s will is for every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit

and to speak in new tongues – Acts 1:8, 2:4, 2:39

Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ

and is available to every believer. – Is. 53:4-5, Mat. 8:17, 1 Pet. 2:24

Prosperity is God’s best for every area of your life – 3 John 2, 2 Cor. 9:6-11

Every believer is to grow up in the Lord through the study of the word of God,

prayer and renewing of the mind. 2 Tim. 2:15, Col. 4:2, Ro. 12:1-2

Pastors JC and Tera McPherson are Graduates of AFCM International Bible School who followed God’s leading to Butte Montana in 2017. After several years of supporting and being mentored by founding Pastors Mark and Sue Stearns became the Senior Pastors in October 2019.

Church on the Rock is a Charismatic loving family of believers. We are called to lead people in the fullness of God’s truth; for when we know the truth, the truth makes us free. We believe according to God’s word that He loved the world and desires all of His creation to experience love and freedom in Christ. You are welcome here and will experience the Love of Christ.

Pastors Mark and Sue Stearns are graduates of Rhema Bible Training Center. Shortly after graduation they responded to the direction of the Holy Spirit and pioneered Church on the Rock in Butte, Montana, in Oct. 22 1986.
